Owner, Founder and Nurse Practitioner
Hi there, I’m Alysha, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Los Angeles. I helps children, teens, and adults just like you or your loved one: individuals that have it within them to thrive, but just need some support getting there.
I’m a Los Angeles born and raised multiethnic Latina with a love for all things creative movement and nature. By trade, I’m a nurse with a graduate education that allows me to prescribe medication with integrated therapy in collaboration with a psychiatrist. The majority of my work has been with young people living with painful memories, trauma, ADHD, anxiety and depression. I have had the experience of caring for patients in recognized top Los Angeles adult and pediatric mental health programs. I have also served as an adjunct professor and clinical preceptor for undergraduate and graduate nursing students, a speaker at several national and state nursing conferences, and past President of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association California Chapter. I bring all of this knowledge, evidence based practice, and experience to my private patients.
In the first visit we will begin with a warm and non judgmental dialogue focusing on developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Treatment plans may include traditional psychiatric medication and/or non-pharmacologic complementary approaches. In most cases, I will also be collaborating with other professionals that are caring for you. We will continue with your treatment plan in follow up visits, always reassessing your goals and progress toward your personal healing.

Medical Director and Collaborating Psychiatrist
Rooted Psychiatry is thankful to have highly knowledgeable Dr. Steven Storage as medical director and collaborative psychiatrist to our staff Nurse Practitioners. He and Alysha first began their collaborative relationship when they worked together at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles inpatient and outpatient programs.
Dr. Storage attended UC Berkeley for his undergraduate degree in molecular and cell biology and earned his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his general psychiatry residency at Stanford Hospital & Clinics and his child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship at USC. He continues to serve as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at USC where he mentors child psychiatry fellows.
Dr. Storage has published several peer-reviewed articles and given numerous presentations covering a variety of subjects including neuroimaging of psychiatric disorders, effects of substance use on the brain, anxiety, the effects of social media on mental health, and psychosomatic medicine. He has received several teaching awards in the past including the Dean’s Teacher of the Year at USC Keck School of Medicine in 2021 and the Outstanding Teaching Award for the Psychiatry Clerkship at USC Keck School of Medicine in 2020.
He also sees outpatients at Amen Clinics in Los Angeles, CA.

Hello, I’m Miguel, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I see individuals that are 16 years of age and older, who wish to improve their mental health. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and offer therapeutic “talk-therapy” sessions as well.
I was born in Los Angeles and raised in a mixed-generational Mexican-American home. I am fluent in Spanish, enjoy creative problem solving, and love to see (and make) art because it allows people to express themselves through different mediums to say what cannot always be said. For the better part of my mental health career, I have worked with adolescents and adults, that have difficulties with their mental health both chronic and situationally. Seeing and experiencing how the mental health system can treat a person as “just another patient” inspired me to be more than just a person who prescribes medication to treat symptoms. So, if you are looking for someone who actively listens, engages in meaningful dialogue, and can also potentially prescribe medication to help you on your journey of healing and improving your quality of life, please contact me here for a free 15 minute consultation.

Nurse Practitioner
Hello, I’m Dr. Roque and I enjoy supporting teen and adult clients (ages 12+) experiencing anxiety (including PTSD and OCD) and mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorder) as well as schizophrenia and co-occurring substance use disorders. I also treat ADHD clients who prefer a non-stimulant treatment plan. In my 15+ year nursing career, I have also had the joy of being published in several peer reviewed journals (on topics including PTSD, schizophrenia and medication side effects) and I am currently on faculty at the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing.
In addition to the above disorders, I am also particularly specialized in early recognition and treatment of medication side effects, always taking into account my client’s quality of life.
My patients have shared that they appreciate my warm and collaborative approach. They often say that they have seen several other providers but when they were under my care was the first time they felt heard. I would be happy to support you or your child through this difficult season.
I will be accepting new patients here at Rooted Psychiatry via telehealth starting in April of 2024!

Administrative Assistant
Hi, I’m Stephanie! I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology with an emphasis on Dementia and Dying from Cal State Fullerton and before working with Rooted Psychiatry I worked in geriatric psychiatry and memory care for 5+ years. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and many pets (including reptiles, fish, a dog and cats!). You may hear from me regarding scheduling and billing but for the most part I will be working in the background making sure staff, students and patients of Rooted Psychiatry have a great experience while they work towards fulfillment and healing.

I studied Computer Science with a minor in Psychology at UCSD, specializing in computer security. As an adult living with ADHD, I've encountered various challenges and have completed coursework specific to ADHD life coaching. Currently, I’m providing tech support to Rooted. With the rise in healthcare breaches in the news, we take our patients' privacy very seriously here at Rooted.

I love helping others on their journey to success and am excited to foster connections that drive both personal and professional growth.
Fun fact: I have hosted sound baths here at Rooted. Look out for any upcoming events! I am currently in a course to become a Certified Sound Healer.
